Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling
I finished this book last week and it was probably the quickest I have ever read a book that size. Being off work and spending days at the pool helped quite a bit.
I think this is my favorite of the series. It is action packed and some scenes are pretty intense. I am not going to say anything about the plot for those who have not read it yet.
Good book.
Good series
It's over (or is it?)

Don't say, "Or is it." I was actually starting to get interested in reading the series now that it is concluded.
Me too. I decided to see what all the hype is about
I don't know if I'll ever bite. I don't really get into series a lot. I like choosing a different mood for each of my next books. Then I go back to the series later if I start one.
I "read" this book on my road trip to Colorado last week. I agree. Probably my favorite of the bunch. I don't see how they will be able to make a less than 2 hour movie out of it though.
harry potter has witchcraft in it. BTW Have you guys heard of a movie called "the seeker?" looks like it might be a similar genre - but with big SWORDS!
It was an excellent book and a surprisingly nice conclusion to the series. BB and I have talked about how we will broach these books with our kids when they are older, because as windarkwingod says it has withcraft.
I am pretty sure that Darwin was being funny by saying that Harry Potter has witchcraft in it.
I an not concerned about my kids reading these books. As a kid I was into superheros, but I could not create any superpowers. I was also into starwars, but I had no jedi powers, no matter how hard I tried mind control. I also tried many times to enter the land of Narnia - no luck. I am pretty sure if I found a wand and spoke some Harry Potter hocus pocus that nothing would happen. How disappointing.
