258 - remote control

We still have a VCR and still record shows.

With kids our remote controls have taking a bit of a beating.

Our VCR remote lost it's battery door and makes this horrible rattling sound.

Like three pennies in an otherwise empty piggy bank.

Some sort of machinery is loose on the inside.

It must not be that important.

The remote works just fine.

This looks like an extended version of a Haiku. Am I right?

No.

It's not suppose to be.

I never really liked Haiku's.

It is more like hitting the return key after sentences.

Profound Haiku. Very deep. I like the way the writer puts aside the various physical problems with the remote and concludes that it works just fine

At least three of our remotes use AAA batteries. This is a problem in that I never buy AAA batteries and usually only get them with a new remote.

My downstairs universal remote is dead, so I've been switching the batteries out (as needed) with the TV remote upstairs ... we only use that one to turn captions on and off - so I haven't justifed a whole other trip down the battery aisle.

Maybe it's time to get a new DVD player?

I am just befuddled at how the remote can still work when it sounds like it has fallen apart on the inside.

If part of it's circuitry has fallen apart...are there fail safe involved? Has the cheap $40 dollar vcr remote rerouted it's controls past the broken down area?

Hey tried to comment on several but the word verification was messed up. Sorry!

I think I won't try a bus based on your recommendation. My dad always said they arrive and depart in bad parts of town.

We did a cruise once. It was okay, to tell the truth it wasn't the sinking that bothered me. It was the tiny little stops places. I like to explore and it was like - here's this city to see, psych, you have to be back to the boat in one hour.
